Brushed Nickel Faucets
Nickel Kitchen and Bathroom Faucets: Nifty Nickel
Prior to the introduction of chrome, nickel was the preferred finish for kitchen and bath faucets. Today, nickel is again a favorite finish. Nickel finishs range from chrome-like polished nickel to velvety brushed nickel. Brushed nickel, also known as matte or satin nickel, offers a unique look compared to the brass and chrome finishes that have been so popular throughout the majority of the past century. Additionally, brushed nickel needs less cleaning since its brushed surface helps to hide finger prints and water spots. As with other finishes, we recommend avoiding abrasive cleaners when caring for nickel finishes. When selecting your faucet's finish, it is important to consider your ability to coordinate the finish with the finishes of other plumbing and hardware items in the room. This is particularly true for less common finishes. If coordinating finishes is your desire, we recommend that you make sure that all items on your shopping list are offered in the same or very similar finish prior to placing your order.
