Clawfoot Tub Shower Enclosure

The most common stationary shower configuration for clawfoot tubs is a clawfoot tub faucet with an exposed shower riser. The shower riser requires a special faucet with a shower diverter. A shower diverter is a valve that diverts water from the faucet's spout to the shower riser. The shower riser is the exposed pipe that leads to the shower head. The shower surround (curtain ring) supports the riser. The shower curtain is attached to the surround with curtain rings. The shower surround is supported by wall and/or ceiling braces.

To simplify the process of buying clawfoot tub showers manufacturers combine the components into clawfoot tub shower enclosure sets. The components included in shower enclosure sets may vary slightly by manufacturer but generally they include a shower surround, faucet, shower riser, wall brace, and ceiling brace. Some manufacturers include the shower head while others offer them separately. Shower curtains and rings are sold separately.
