Freestanding Faucets
Freestanding Faucets: Look Ma, No Hands!
We've all seen magazine photos of clawfoot tubs with freestanding faucets in the center of a spacious bathroom. If you are fortunate enough to have the space, you may have found it difficult to find freestanding faucets to duplicate the photos. This is because the faucets and freestanding supply lines are often sold separately. Most clawfoot tubs that include hand showers, and a few of those that don't, can be used with freestanding supply lines. The freestanding supply lines are sold separately to permit you to mix and match. Most freestanding supply lines must be braced to a wall to stabilize them. If the tub is in the center of the room, as shown in the magazine photos, or the plumbing is on the open end of the tub, there may not be a wall convenient. There are still options. A stand can be built to brace the supply lines or, in some cases, the supply lines can be braced to the drain instead. There are also a few heavy-duty rigid supply lines that can be secured to the floor to support freestanding faucets without any additional braces. Please email customerservice@shop4classics.com for assistance.
