Bridge Faucets
Bridge Lavatory and Kitchen Faucets: Providing a Link to the Past
Bridge faucets are popular for antique pedestal sinks because they provide modern convenience without detracting from the style of old sinks. Many antique sinks only had two faucet holes. Separate hot & cold taps were used with these sinks. Bridge faucets have a single spout allowing hot and cold water to be mixed like modern widespread faucets but unlike a widespread faucet, bridge faucets do not require a center faucet hole. Their unique appearance makes bridge faucets a popular choice for modern sinks as well. Decorative sink hole covers (sold separately) allow bridge faucets to be used with modern sinks that have three faucet holes. As their name suggests, sink hole covers cover the center hole in the sink. If a drain with rubber stopper is used to create a vintage-looking sink, a chain stay can be used in the center faucet hole.
