Antique Clawfoot Bath Tubs: Classic Clawfeet
The term "clawfoot tub" is generally used to describe a number of styles of freestanding vintage bathtubs. Although these tubs most commonly rest on "feet" with the traditional English ball and claw design, some clawfoot tubs rest on lion paw or contemporary style feet. "Leg tub" is another frequently used term for clawfoot tubs. The term "clawfoot tub" is often used to include pedestal and skirted tubs even though these tubs do not rest on feet of any kind.
