Clawfoot Bathtub Faucets
Nickel Bathroom Fixtures: A Fantastic Finish
Due to its subtle tone and ease of care, nickel was a popular alternative to brass for clawfoot bathtub faucets and plumbing from the late 1800's through the 1920's. During the 1930's, Chrome became the standard finish for bathroom fixtures for the remainder of the century. However, nickel has experienced resurgence in recent years. Today's nickel finishes range from smooth lustrous polished nickel to more subdued brushed nickel.
