Clawfoot Tub Faucet Installation Instructions

All clawfoot tub faucets should be installed by a qualified, licensed plumber. Please use teflon tape on all threaded connections.

Step 1 Shut off the water supply valves before installation.
Step 1 For faucets with a gooseneck spout, the faucet is shipped with the spout uninstalled to prevent against damage during shipping. Screw the spout (#2940) and adapter (#2806) onto the faucet body to test the threads. It is normal for the spout to turn past the stop point. To complete installation of the spout, use a waterproof epoxy or threadlock on the spout threads. The epoxy will secure the spout and seal the connection. Before you seal the spout with epoxy, make certain that the adapter is tight on the faucet. Next, apply epoxy to the threads on the spout. Thread the spout into the adapter. The spout will turn past the front, center point. Turn the spout about 1/4 to 1/8 turn past the centered point to work the epoxy into the threads and then turn it back to its final position. Allow the epoxy to dry and seal the spout before use.
Step 1 Insert the faucet through the 2 holes on the tub. Screw the lock nuts (#3401) onto the threaded shanks (#4310) and tighten.
Step 1 Slip the washers (#1830) and the brass nuts (#3417) onto the supply tubes. Insert the supply tubes into the shanks and tighten the nuts.
Step 1 Make no adjustments to valves or valve stems. They are tested at the factory for optimum performance.
